You can call me COACH?

So I am off to coach at a sports camp next week. I’m helping with the field hockey sessions. Don’t have any official coaching experience but I have 6+ years playing experience, 4 years captain/co-captaining and 2 seasons of umpiring. I went to 4 field hockey camps when I was in high school… but that was quite a while ago. I  salvaged the field hockey program at my high school in grade 11 because our coach went on maternity leave and I was pretty much willing to be the coach for the sake of keeping the team. The only thing is I haven’t played or umpired this year though… but I did watch a few high school varsity and recreational matches live and some international online/TV. One of my friends and teammate over the years said that I am a “field hockey rockstar” around here (here being my hometown), I found that funny but appreciated it as well. I am really passionate about the game so it’s nice that it doesn’t go unnoticed. So this week I’ve flipped through an updated rulebook and my collection of materials… wrote out some drills, talked to some fellow field hockeyers and now hoping for the best. Thankfully I’m not doing it solo and will be working with another coach.

Here’s to new experiences and accepting opportunities that scare you.

Cheers,

LTillz

“We mistake sex for romance. Guys are taught that pushing a girl up against a wall is romance. Sex is easy; you can do it with anyone, yourself, with batteries. Romance is when someone you like walks into a room and they take your breath away. Romance is when two people are dancing and they fit together perfectly. Romance is when two people are walking next to each other and all of a sudden they find themselves holding hands, and they don’t know how that happened.”—John C. Moffi

So you’re saying there’s potential here?

Been seeing someone a lot lately… we hangout and hookup… not entirely sure where it’s going but it’s a lot of fun right now. We’ll see where it goes.

I haven’t allowed myself to  expect anything and so I am surprised by everything. I am afraid to fall though, because I’m not sure if they will catch me…

Nothing like a little romance to get you out of a funk.
